The Month of LOVE

Writer: Jamie NagyJamie Nagy

We are returning from our trip to Mexico and trying to work ourselves back into the swing of things, you know what it is like coming back to real life! This trip was so special for us. After many cancelled vacations and honeymoons (due to the 'vid) then the birth of our girls back to back, we have not really done anything in over 5 years, so this was welcomed with opened arms. Our girls did fantastic and truly had the time of their lives. I also welcomed a chance to shut my mind off from work, business and school. I am paying for it now falling way behind but the reset was worth it and more.

The month of LOVE brings us a birthday for our second girl, turning two on valentines! It also brings the middle of my term, midterm reviews and prepping for final projects. It is going to be busy busy! I also have a client new build to finish up and I am excited to showcase some more of that project for you!

February brings all the desire to get winter over with. We are tired of it, its been long, its been dark and we just need the renewed hope that normally comes with spring, am I right? I know I am. Here are my top tips for keeping your home cozy in this final stretch of winter WITHOUT buying something new!

  1. Bring your cozy blankets out to your main area for added decor and texture in a room

  2. The more pillows and throws the better, focus on one area. Think of turning it into your little cozy nook, even if its not a a nook!

  3. Warm Lighting - break it up with lamps and dim lighting

  4. Continue to de-clutter from new years!

  5. Bring the outdoors in, change our your seasonal decor by added winter greens or twigs to your elements.

  6. Last but not least, my fave, have soft music playing in your home and romanticize the winter and the shorter days while we wait for spring!
