Welcome 2025

Updated: Feb 27

Hello lovies,

I hope you had a fantastic holiday and new year season. I am excited to welcome in 2025 with open arms!

I had some time off with my family from my fulltime job, we got the chance to have the girls home from daycare for 2 weeks with us and made some visits to our families! We also worked on a little board and batten project I had been hoping to do at our back door, and started planning our fireplace and built-in project! The list for projects at our house never ends (I secretly love it, now if only it were free lol!).

On top of that, I picked my second term courses and will begin my next term January 6 with 4 more core classes for my Interior Design Degree, so while the time off was much needed to re-set I know the busy-ness is just about to pick right back up. I leaned into that kind of "nothing to do" feeling after being flat out since October. This degree I am completing is an accelerated degree so I do four "terms" in one year that are 10 weeks each! Its a LOT in a short amount of time. So on top of work and kids and family, all spare time goes to that!

Coming into 2025 I really wanted to try and find a way to connect with those of you that follow RRD in a new way. I was hoping not only to just share what the business is doing but also a bit more about WHAT this business is. I know after a year of working on my business that I still sometimes get questions on exactly what I do. I was hoping this medium would be able to explain and show case a bit more about how virtual design works. I think the misconception that I don't physically come to your house holds people off from booking and I would love to share how great designs can be built even though I do it from my house! I am looking forward to this year and all that it will bring and I hope you are too!

xx Jamie
